Ghee fat-washed bourbon

  1. To a glass jar, add the bourbon and melted ghee. Seal with a lid and shake vigorously for 10 seconds, then allow to sit at room temperature for at least 3-4 hours to overnight.

  2. After the mixture has sat at room temperature, place the jar in the freezer for at least 1 hour, allowing the ghee to fully harden.

  3. Take the jar out of the freezer and carefully remove the hardened ghee. Pour the remaining bourbon mixture through a cheesecloth or coffee filter to remove any additional ghee chunks. You now have your ghee fat-washed bourbon.
